A grand Yogotsav will be held in the city of Mumbai in the auspicious presence of Sri Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, Paramacharya, Bihar School of Yoga, Vishwa Yogapeeth Ganga Darshan, Munger, Bihar. Swami Niranjanananda is the spiritual successor of Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati, who is universally regarded as the harbinger of modern yogic and tantric renaissance.

The benefits of yoga are many and profound. Yoga works on all aspects of an individual: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Many have heard of the effectiveness of yoga, yet few have real knowledge of this science, and even fewer have experienced it. A true seeker must practise, experience and realize yoga; no amount of explanation or reading can replace the truth of experience.

The experience provides the understanding that the path of evolution which culminates in self-realization does not lie in the external world. It lies within our own being, waiting to be discovered. We must dive deep within ourselves to find what has always been there and was there even before our birth. We do not need to give up our present lifestyle to achieve this; we can fulfill our aspirations by supplementing our efforts with yoga sadhana.

Today's fast-paced, modern society is falling prey to various physical and mental disorders. Drugs are able to treat only the disease of an organ and have unforeseen negative repercussions on the body-mind complex. With yoga you can eradicate your mental and physical unrest by doing away with the root cause. Even psychosomatic disorders (such as high BP, diabetes, migraine, asthma, ulcers, digestive disorders, insomnia, and other stress-related disorders) can be managed well by the practices of yoga. Therefore, inculcate yoga into your life to attain a healthy, disease-free body and give a new direction to your thinking process.

You are cordially invited to attend this 'Know Yourself Yogotsav' with friends and relatives. On this occasion, we expect a large congregation of scientists, psychologists, yoga therapists, yoga researchers, medical professionals, yogis, sannyasins and seekers.

Why Bharat Yatra?

With the completion of the Golden Jubilee of the Bihar School of Yoga and the World Yoga Convention 2013, a new yogic era has been ushered in. From 2014m Swami Niranjanananda embarks upon Bharat Yatra to bring Satyam Yoga Prasad to one and all.

The eternal science of Yoga which bestows physical health, mental peace and spiritual bliss is now becoming commercialized. The purity of the yogic tradition is being lost and distorted knowledge is being present to the society. Thus, the traditional purpose of Yoga is being forgotten by society.

Satyananda Yoga has brought about a reawakening of the traditional nature of Yoga across the world. It not provides a lucid understanding of the deepest experiences of Yoga and spiritual life, but also teaches the skill of having these experiences in one’s own life.

‘How do I find happiness?’, ‘What is the reason for suffering?’,
‘What is the purpose of my life?’, ‘How do I achieve it?’
Satyananda Yoga helps find the answers to these eternal and immediate questions of life and shows humankind the way to a fulfilling, harmonious existence.

Please be seated at least 15 minutes prior to each session.
Please bring a dhurrie / blanket for the morning sadhana session.
